NOZZLE GUARD FILTERS FEATURE AN EXCLUSIVE DESIGN WHICH HAS NO METAL PARTS INSIDE THE FILTER SHELL. Competitive designs contain metal springs, end caps, and other components which can cause a filter to fail in two ways: 1) The metal parts inside a competitor's filter can scratch the coating inside the filter. The corrosive attack is concentrated at this damaged area so the filter rusts even faster than if it had no protective coating. As the shell becomes weakened by the rusting, the spring in the bottom of the filter can push through the shell bottom, causing an oil spill. Nozzle Guard has no internal metal parts to damage the coating. Click here for more information on why Nozzle Guard has THE BEST CORROSION RESISTANCE available in the industry, so there is no worry that filter shells will rust and cause oil to leak into a customer's basement! 2) Corrosion of the thin metal parts inside a competitor's filter can cause the filter to bypass, and send dirty fuel directly to the pump and nozzle instead of doing the job you paid for it to do. As internal metal parts start to corrode, the thin lower metal end cap on the loose filter element element begins to weaken. The spring below the element begins to push up through the end cap. When the element drops sufficiently, the top end cap pulls away from the seal washer above it, and dirty fuel bypasses the element and goes to the pump and nozzle unfiltered. The filter ceases to do the job you paid for it to do. Nozzle Guard contains no internal metal parts, and will not bypass. |
